Mango Origin
Mangoes are native to tropical Asia, but are now grown in most tropical countries. These evergreen trees grow to a height of 10 to 45 metres, they are dome shaped with dense foliage. The leaves are linear and oblong, exuding an aromatic odour. The fruit is a drupe, showing variation in shape and size. It has a single seed, encased in a hard, compressed fibrous endocarp.
